Welcome to Sunday School
The best way to get connected to First Baptist Church is by joining a Sunday School group. You will build community with other Christians as you gather together to study through books of the Bible with a weekly teaching lesson, and then discuss with each other how to grow in the Christian life through table discussion and prayer. Our groups also get together outside of class for regular fellowship events. We would love for everyone at First Baptist Church to grow in a group through Sunday School. To find your group, use the Group Finder below.

FAQs
Joining a Sunday School group is the main way to find community and grow in godly friendships at the Nocatee Campus. Our groups gather weekly to study through books of the Bible and grow together in community through table discussion and prayer. They also get together outside of class for regular fellowship events.
Within your Sunday School Class, you will join a Life Group, which is a subset of the larger class. These are the people that you will meet together with each week around a table to discuss the bible lesson and pray. These are the specific people that you will probably get to know the best as you share your life with them, both in the class and outside of it.
We offer classes for every age group, for men, women, or couples. See the list of all the classes available, with a description under the Sunday School Group Finder.
Sunday School takes place at 9am every Sunday morning around our campus. Our senior adult classes meet on the 2nd floor of the West Building, the 55+ classes meet on the 3rd floor of the West Building, the College & Career class meets in the West Hall on the 1st floor of the West Building, and the rest of our classes meet on the 3rd floor of the East Building.
Our Sunday School groups are currently on a 12-year journey through the books of the Bible. The main curriculum resource we use is Crossway’s Knowing the Bible Series.
There are a variety of opportunities to serve in Sunday School, including as a teacher, class administrator, table group leader, hospitality team member, and more. To explore opportunities to serve, visit fbcjax.com/serve or talk to the leader of your individual class.
