Helisha serves as the Girls’ Discipleship Counselor for First Baptist Church’s Student Ministry. A native of Taylorsville, KY, she was a missionary for several years in Madagascar and London with the International Mission Board (IMB) prior to her move to Jacksonville. Helisha has a Master of Arts in biblical counseling from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is certified by the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors.
Whether she’s stateside or on mission internationally, Helisha is fueled by I Corinthians 10:31 and Romans 10:14-15. She is passionate about discipling girls to glorify God in every area of life.
Helisha has found a home in Jacksonville. She recently married her husband, Yong. They enjoy running and exploring the city with their puppy, Gus.
