A Message from our Pastor

I want to welcome you to the First Baptist Church dedicated webpage for officers with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. Even though we have never met many of you, all of us at First Baptist Church love you and appreciate your incredible service to our community. You do so much to make it possible for us to live and worship safely in this community, and we are unspeakably grateful.

Your selfless sacrifice reminds me of the selfless sacrifice of Jesus, who gave his life to rescue from sin everyone who believes in him. Because of what Jesus has done for us, and because of our appreciation for all you do, we want to make an investment in you and your life. That’s one of the great concerns of everyone in our church.

This webpage that we have designed especially for you is just one expression of that concern. On this page, you will find resources to help you and your family, including sermons, videos, books, and articles, and also links to resources where you can get counseling and other help.

You have a very hard job. At times I realize it might feel thankless, but I hope that when you wonder as a police officer, who your best friend is in Jacksonville, you will think of us here at First Baptist Church. Please let us know if you think of any way we can prove it to you.
