WELCOME to Shine Special Needs Ministry

At First Baptist Nocatee, we are committed to loving and caring for children and adults with special needs. We believe each of them are special to God because they are created in his own image and likeness. At Shine and Shine Jr., we provide a safe and fun environment where these individuals receive special care, participate in activities that reflect their unique needs, and hear the good news about Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection.

Shine is for adults with special needs and takes place during the 8:45AM and 10:30 AM worship services. Shine Jr. is for minors with special needs and takes place during the 10:30 AM worship service.

Shine Jr. is available during the 10:30 AM service when regular classrooms are not the best fit for preschool & elementary-age children with special needs.

SHINE FOR ADULTS

Shine is available during the 8:45 AM and 10:30 AM services when the Sunday Service and/or Sunday School classes are not the best fit for adults with special needs.

Where do I go?

Please visit the First Kids Desk to check in. You will directed to the SHINE or SHINE JR room. Handicap parking is available close to the church entrance. We would love to welcome you!

Understanding what Scripture says about disabilities and how God regards individuals affected by disability is an important piece of any disability ministry (Psalm 139:13-16; 1 Corinthians 12:21-25; John 9:1-3; Luke 14:12-14; 2 Samuel 9).
