WELCOME to First Worship Downtown!

The First Worship Choir and Orchestra, comprised of almost 200 members, is a dedicated group of believers who serve God and the church by using their gifts and talents in the area of music. In addition to serving as worship leaders in our weekly worship services, our Choir and Orchestra participate in numerous special events. There are a variety of additional opportunities to serve within the worship ministry through ensembles, solos, drama, and seasonal ministry positions.

How do I become a First Worship choir member?

Upon becoming a member of FBC JAX, a simple interview is all that is required to join the First Worship Choir. Our Pastor of Worship and Music, Scott Connell, conducts interviews each Wednesday night after regular rehearsal. The interview includes singing a favorite hymn or gospel song and vocalizing (to determine the range and voice part.)
